The NTRC presented a total of twenty (20) Lenovo Desktop computers to the National Centre Of Technological Innovation(NCTI) on March 28, 2023. These computers cost EC$65,980 and were handed over to Manager of the NCTI, Mr. Charles Burke.

The handing over ceremony was held at the NCTI’s offices on Sharpe Street in Kingstown. These donations are financed by the NTRC’s Universal Service Fund (USF) as part of the SMART project. The contract for this project was signed on March 26, 2020.

Chairman of the NCTI, Mr. Willis Williams, and board member of the NCTI Dr. Jerrol Thompson, both attended the ceremony and expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the NTRC for the donation.

In the last 3 years the NTRC has purchased more than 300 computers that were distributed to different institutions across St. Vincent and the Grenadines such as schools, libraries, community centers and learning resource centers to serve the public.
Under the SMART Project, the NTRC will be partnering with the NCTI to adopt one of their computer labs and commit to replacing the computers with newer versions every 5 years to keep the lab current.

The NCTI was established to provide citizens of St. Vincent and the Grenadines with subsidized training in ICT and related courses. The NCTI will use these 20 computers to continue offering different courses and training programs to the general public.
