The Traffic Department of the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force is calling on the public to cease the misuse of demonstration plates.
Sergeant 7 Corridon of the RSVGPF Traffic Department made the appeal during WEFM’s Traffic Talk program where while explaining the process of moving a recently imported vehicle.

Sergeant Corridon emphasized that the use of demonstration plates is restricted to dealers.
“Once you bring in a vehicle from overseas and you want to register that vehicle in St. Vincent, you must go to inland revenue, register the vehicle, get a registration plate for the vehicle, take it to the customs or the wharf area and place them on your vehicle.
From time to time persons are using demonstration plates, that is an illegal act because demonstration plates are for dealers only, so I repeat, register your vehicle at the licensing office, you’ll get the insurance for the vehicle and then you can come to the traffic department where we give you permission to move that vehicle,” he said.
