    FULL MILLIATRY FUNERAL FOR THE LATE, HENRY AUTHUR PROVIDENCE, FORMER INSPECTOR OF POLICE

    September 27, 2023, Kingstown – Members of the general public are hereby informed that the
    funeral service of the late, Henry Authur Providence, Former Inspector of Police will take place
    on Sunday 8 th October 2023 at the Mount Moriah Seventh Day Adventist Church, Diamond.
    The deceased will be accorded a full military funeral. Viewing of the body and tributes will
    commence at Midday (12:00 Noon), to be followed by the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. The
    interment will take place at the Brighton Cemetery.
    Inspector Providence died at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital (MCMH) on Wednesday 13 th
    September 2023. He was enlisted in the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force
    (RSVGPF) on December 27, 1996. He loyally served the organization and the people of St.
    Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) for Twenty-seven (27) years. At the time of his death, he was
    stationed at the Georgetown Police Station in the Eastern Division.
    Throughout his career, the deceased worked at the Barrouallie, Questelles, and Georgetown
    Police Stations respectively; Criminal Investigation Department and the Traffic Branch – where
    he spent most of his policing career.

    He was a very versatile Police Officer and displayed professionalism when carrying out his
    duties. He was promoted to the rank of Corporal on October 01, 2008, Sergeant on December 01,
    2015, Station Sergeant on June 01, 2017, and Inspector on September 29, 2017.
    The Commissioner of Police, Mr. Colin John, and all other ranks of the Royal St. Vincent and
    the Grenadines Police Force extend their deepest condolences to the family and friends of the
    late Inspector Henry Providence. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
