    OFFICIAL VISIT OF AMBASSADOR OF CHILE TO SAINT VINCENT AND THE GRENADINES

    SAINT VINCENT AND THE GRENADINES, September 29th, 2023 – His Excellency Ambassador Hernán E. Núñez, Ambassador of Chile, is on official visit to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

    Ambassador Núñez’s diplomatic career spans over three decades, with expertise in the Chilean foreign service, bilateral and multilateral relations, consular and administrative matters and knowledge in human resource management. The Embassy of Chile is currently located in Trinidad and Tobago.

    On Friday, 29th September 2023, His Excellency Mr. Hernán E. Núñez presented Letters of Credence to Her Excellency Dame Susan Dougan, GCMG, OBE, Governor General of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines at Government House. His Excellency also met with the Honourable Dr. Ralph E. Gonsalves; Prime Minister of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, the Honourable Dr. Godwin Friday; Leader of the Opposition, His Excellency José Manuel Leveya Ventura; Ambassador of Cuba and Dean of the Diplomatic Corps. Ambassador Núñez also met with Mrs. Sandy Peters-Phillips, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade and Dr. Tamira Browne; Director (Ag) in the Department of Foreign Policy and Research to discuss the continual thrust for bilateral and multilateral relations.

    The Governments of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and Chile established diplomatic ties on August 16th, 1990 and have enjoyed a cordial relationship over the years.
