    POLICE LAUNCHES INVESTIGATION INTO DOUBLE SHOOTING INCIDENT

    December 06, 2023, Kingstown: The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) is actively investigating a shooting incident that occurred in Green Hill on Tuesday, November 05, 2023, resulting in an individual being treated at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital (MCMH) for gunshot injuries.

    Reports indicate that Junior Woods, a self-employed resident of Green Hill, and his girlfriend were targeted by an unknown assailant while on their way home in motor vehicle P4556, a blue Starlet. Mr. Woods sustained gunshot wounds to both legs during the attack. The crime scene was promptly processed by the Crime Scene Unit to retrieved several pieces of exhibit.

    Subsequently, Michael Lescott, a 20-year-old unemployed individual from Old Montrose, presented himself at the MCMH with a gunshot wound to his leg. The circumstances surrounding Mr. Lescott’s injuries are currently under investigation.

    The RSVGPF is urging anyone with information related to these incidents to come forward. Persons can call 999/911/457-1211, or reach out to the officer in charge of the Criminal Investigation Department at 456-1810, or any police station or police officer you are comfortable speaking with. All information provided will be treated with the utmost confidentiality. Investigations into the cases are ongoing.

    The RSVGPF remains committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of the community and will spare no effort in bringing those responsible for these incidents to justice.
