The Port Modernisation Project is on target for its May 2025 delivery.
Construction is now continuing on the administrative building of the project as well as vibro- compaction work.
In an interview with the Agency for Public Information, Chairperson Port modernization Project steering committee, Laura Anthony-Browne said much work has been accomplished since the project began.

“We are scheduled to be completed by May of 2025 and that deadline is very much on target, we are standing here today in the administrative building and much progress is taking place on this building and we have three other buildings which will be constructed”, Anthony- Browne remarked.
Project Director (Aecon) Tam Smith said the project is actually ahead of schedule as Mechanical and Electrical works continue on the administrative building.

“This is going well, also we have been continuing with the vibro-compaction work, that’s now 60 per cent completed, we have completed the East wall piling, we are now 50 per cent along the key wall there…the big progress is in the buildings”, Smith said.
The Port Modernisation Project is the second largest capital project in this country’s history.
