Parliamentary representative for the North Leeward constituency, Hon. Carlos James, said training in hospitality and various technical disciplines would lead to a transformation of the constituency into a campus of learning.
Speaking at the opening of the North Leeward Technical Institute (NLTI) on Monday, Minister James lauded the development in his constituency.
“I am looking forward to seeing the facility evolve into a TVET Centre of excellence in St. Vincent and the Grenadines”, James said.
James added that the institute is part of a number of measures being implemented to provide training and employment opportunities for the people of North Leeward.
The Parliamentary Representative, who is also the Minister of Tourism, said the opening of the NLTI will complement ecotourism development in Richmond, Troumaca Bay, Dark View, Cumberland and other sites on the North Leeward coast.
On October 5th 2023 Minister James donated eight desktop computers to the North Leeward Technical Institute (NLTI), which has been in operation from September 2023.
