    POLICE BAND PARTICIPATING IN GRENADA NATIONAL INDEPENDENCE CELEBRATIONS

    February 01, 2024: Kingstown – A twenty-seven (27) member delegation from the Royal St.
    Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force Band will depart St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG)
    later today (01.02.24) on an eight (8) day official visit to Grenada. The Police Band was invited
    by the Government of Grenada to participate in the nation’s Fiftieth (50 th ) Anniversary of
    Independence Celebrations, which will be held on Wednesday 07 th February 2024. The
    delegation is being led by the Band Master, Inspector of Police, Mr. Vaughn Miller.
    While in Grenada, the Police Band will participate in several events including:-
    a. Friday 2 nd February 2024 – “UP FROM – HERE- THE MUSIC CONCERT”
    b. Sunday 4 th February 2024 – Grenada’s 50 th Anniversary of Independence
    Ecumenical Service
    c. Tuesday 6 th February 2024 – Guard of Honour at Special Sitting of the Grenada
    House of Parliament

    – Guard of Honour at the Maurice Bishop
    International Airport for the arrival of the
    President
    of Ghana, His Excellency, Nana Akufo-Addo
    d. Wednesday 7 th February 2024- Grand Military Parade (Grenada’s National
    Independence Parade)

    – Rally and Cultural Extravaganza
    e. Thursday 8 th February 2024 – Island Tour of Grenada
    f. Friday 9 th February 2024 – Police Band departs Grenada for SVG
    As a lead-up to the events, the RSVG Police Band will undergo several practice sessions and
    rehearsals with the Royal Grenada Police Force Band.
    The Commissioner of Police and other ranks of the RSVGPF wish the Police Band a safe,
    successful, and rewarding visit to Grenada.
