    VICTIM OF FATAL VEHICLE INCIDENT IDENTIFIED

    Raquel Williams, 47, also known Sorannie is the victim of the April 1 vehicle incident that occurred at Rivière.

    Reports are that Williams died after a truck overturned.

    Police confirmed the reports.

    The full circumstances surrounding the incident are still unclear, but police are investigating.

    Her death marks the third road fatality recorded to date in 2024.

    The second road fatality was Kellon Stapleton of the North Leeward community of Rose Hall who died after the vehicle he was driving overturned in an area of Rose Hall called Belmont.

    That incident occurred during the early hours of Wednesday, March 27, 2024.

    The first road fatality took place on January 26 at Troumaca when Maurice Murphy, 57, a Redemption Sharpes resident died after a vehicular accident in the North Leeward community of Troumaca.

    Murphy was the driver and the vehicle reportedly lost control.
