    Burnt bodies in Park Hill identified

    Police confirmed that the two bodies found were burnt. The bodies are those of two residents of Park Hill, namely Mervin Barker and Kelvert Smart.

    The discovery was made late Monday morning by residents of the area.

    Information are still sketchy related to the incident that cause both men’s deaths

    The Royal Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) is currently conducting a thorough investigation into a grim discovery made in the Park Hill area, in the vicinity of the Park Hill Playing Field. On April 8, 2024, at approximately 12:24 PM, Police Officers were alerted to the presence of two partially burned bodies found at the rear of a dwelling house.


    In response to the report, officers arrived at the scene and confirmed the presence of two male bodies, both of which were partially burned. The identities of the deceased, Marvin Barker and Calvert “Vert” Smart, were confirmed by their family members
    The scene was processed by crime scene investigators, and the district medical officer declared the individuals deceased. Coroner Mr. Collin John authorized the transport of the bodies,which were subsequently conveyed to the Kingstown Mortuary under police escort. A post-mortem examination is scheduled to determine the cause of death.
    The RSVGPF is steadfast in its commitment to a thorough investigation into the incident and collectively extends our sincerest condolences to the families and friends of the deceased in these trying times.
