This move comes in response to concerns raised about irregularities at specific examination centers. In an official statement, CXC assured candidates and parents that the situation is being addressed with the utmost urgency. The Council committed to taking appropriate actions upon the conclusion of the investigation to ensure the integrity of the examination process.

This development follows closely on the heels of the CXC’s response to circulating social media rumors about an alleged examination paper leak. The Barbados-based CXC categorically dismissed these claims as hoaxes.

The regional exam body expressed its strong disapproval of attempts to spread false information, which it stated could cause unnecessary panic among candidates. The CXC’s statement read, “CXC frowns upon attempts by persons to spread false information and create panic for candidates preparing for examinations.
