As part of the upcoming Vincy Mas 2024 celebrations, the Carnival Development Corporation (CDC) has announced three distinguished honorees.
At a press briefing on June 20th, CDC Chairman Ricardo Adams named former CDC Chairman Dennis Ambrose, Fitzgerald ‘John Hinds’ King, and the Nelson Bloc Cultural Organisation as the honorees.
The Nelson Bloc Cultural Organisation’s recognition coincides with its 40th anniversary, marking a significant milestone. This acknowledgment comes following a recommendation from the Carnival Bands Inc. Adams also highlighted the packed calendar for Vincy Mas 2024, noting that over 40 private events are scheduled in addition to CDC events.
He called on private promoters to ensure that CDC events have ample space to operate, supporting the growth and development of local culture.
