Delwyn Delpesche, who served the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) for 13 years, has achieved a notable milestone by completing his training as a King’s Guard in the United Kingdom.
Delpesche’s illustrious career began in October 2010 at the Montrose training school, where he was awarded the Best Turn Out Award.
He worked in various units, including the Special Services Unit and community policing in Chateaubelair, before joining the Special Patrol Unit in Ottley Hall.
“The turning point of my life happened when I decided to leave the police force for the UK last September,” he told ANN in a brief interview.
The former police officer, who also owned a mechanic shop in Ottley Hall, decided to close shop and resign from the RSVGPF in September 2023, which led him to the UK, where he completed his training and was awarded the Best Drill & Turn Out Award and the Major General’s Section Award on July 19th, 2024.
Reflecting on his journey, Delpesche shared, “It wasn’t easy, but it was worth it,” and he encourages others to pursue their dreams and excel in their endeavors.
The Evesham native, disclosed that he is father to three children, who are the driving force behind his hard work. His story is a testament to dedication, hard work, and the pursuit of excellence.
