    Fogging Schedule for SCHOOL FROM 26TH – 28TH AUGUST, 2024

    The Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment wishes to advise the general public that as part of its mosquito control programme for the adult Aedes aegypti mosquito, the Insect Vector Control Unit will be conducting fogging operations in the following Schools & surrounding areas commencing at 4:30 pm.

    Monday 26th August, 2024: Windward – Pamelus Burke Primary, South Rivers Methodist, Park Hill Government, Colonaire Government, George Stephens Snr. Secondary. Lowmans Windward Anglican, Lauders Primary, Greggs Government, Diamonds Government, North Union Secondary & New Grounds Primary.

    Tuesday 27th August, 2024: Leeward – Fitz Hughes Government School, Chateaubelair Methodist, Petit Bordel Secondary, Troumaca Secondary, Troumaca Government, Rose Hall Government, West Wood Methodist & Spring Village Methodist.

    Central Leeward – Clare Valley Government, Questelles Government, Bethel High School, Campden Park KTI & Lowmans Leeward Anglican.

    Kingstown – C.W. Prescod Primary, Kingstown Preparatory, St. Vincent Grammar School, Intermediate High School, Dorsetshire Hill Government, Sion Hill Government, Thomas Sanders, Girls High School & Technical College.

    Lower Windward – Belmont Government, Evesham Methodist, Cane End Government, St. Joseph Convent Marriaqua & Emmanuel High Mesopotamia Calder Primary School, Argyle Primary School, Brighton Primary School, Stubbs Government School & St. Clair Dacon Secondary School.

    Higher Windward – Fancy Government, Owia Government, Sandy Bay Primary, Tourama Government,
    Biabou Methodist, New Prospect Primary School and New Adelphi Secondary School.

    Tuesday 27th August, 2024: Leeward – Barrouallie Government, Barrouallie Anglican, Barrouallie Technical Institute, Central Leeward Secondary & Layou Government. Emmanuel Mesopotamia Secondary, Marriaqua Government, Richland Park Government, Richland Park S.D.A and Mountain View Adventist Academy.

    Lower Windward – Sugar Mill Academy, St. Vincent and the Grenadines Community College, Calliaqua Anglican School, Fair Hall Primary School,

    Wednesday 28th August, 2024: Windward – Dickson Methodist, Langley Park Government, SCSN Georgetown, Georgetown Government, Georgetown Technical Institute, Georgetown and Sandy Bay Secondary (Mt Young).

    Kingstown – Windsor Primary, Lodge Village Government, Peters vale Primary, Kingstown Government, Kingstown Anglican Dr, JP Eustace Memorial, St. Mary’s Roman Catholic, St. Joseph Convent Kingstown, SCSN Kingstown, St. Martin’s Secondary, Kingstown Technical Institute & Bishop’s College Kingstown.

    Thursday 29th August, 2024: Leeward – Buccament Bay Secondary, Leeward District S.D.A, Buccament Government (Dubois).

    Please take note of the following:

    Home and business owners in the named areas are reminded to keep their windows and doors open to allow the fog to take effect.
    Motorists are kindly asked to take caution.
    Persons who are suffering from any respiratory illnesses are kindly asked to take the necessary precautionary measures.
    Residents are also encouraged to prevent the breeding of mosquitoes in their yard and to protect themselves from mosquito bites during the day.
    Members of the public are reminded that the completion of the scheduled fogging activities may be affected by events beyond the control of the Unit. In such circumstances, the Unit will return to the scheduled communities as soon as possible.
