October 29, 2024 – Kingstown: The Royal Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) has made a significant arrest in the fight against illegal firearms. Kimore Edwards, a 24-year-old resident of Lowmans Leeward, was arrested and charged after being found in possession of a firearm and ammunition.

The arrest took place on Saturday, October 26, 2024, when officers from the Rapid Response Unit (RRU) and the Narcotics Unit, during a routine patrol in the Lowmans Leeward area, encountered Edwards. Known by the alias “Joel,” Edwards was searched by the officers, who discovered a .38 revolver and five rounds of .38 ammunition in his possession.

Edwards now faces charges of illegal possession of both the firearm and ammunition. He is expected to appear before the Serious Offences Court on October 29, 2024, to respond to the charges.

The RSVGPF continues its call for citizens to report any suspicious activities involving firearms or ammunition to help maintain public safety.
