    Fatal Shooting in Villa Raises Homicide Count to 42

    The Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on November 14, 2024, near the Young Island Dock in Villa, bringing the nation’s homicide count for the year to 42.

    According to a press release issued by the police, officers responded to an anonymous call reporting gunfire in the area. Upon their arrival, they discovered the lifeless body of Brent Hackshaw, a resident of Campden Park, who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the District Medical Officer.

    A post-mortem examination is scheduled to determine the exact cause of death. Law enforcement officials have launched a full investigation and are appealing to members of the public who may have information related to the incident to come forward.
