The Hairouna Film Festival (HFF) is back, bringing the magic of Caribbean storytelling to communities across St. Vincent & the Grenadines for its 6th edition. From March 15 to April 12, audiences will have the chance to experience seven powerful Caribbean films, representing the vibrant cultures of Jamaica, Haiti, Dominica, Trinidad, the Dominican Republic, USVI, and Barbados.

The festival’s main events will take place on March 21 and March 22, with an exciting Opening Night featuring special guests and a Spotlight on Vincentian Talent at the Calliaqua Playing Field. These screenings will not only showcase regional storytelling but also provide a platform for local filmmakers and creatives to share their work with the public.

“We’re thrilled to continue this journey of bringing Caribbean films to Vincentian audiences,” said the HFF team. “Every year, we strive to grow the festival, highlighting both established and emerging filmmakers from across the region. This year’s lineup is a testament to the power of storytelling in shaping our collective identity.”

As a pioneering cultural event, HFF goes beyond just film screenings. The festival fosters discussion, community engagement, and appreciation for the diverse voices that make up the Caribbean film industry.

With free screenings across the mainland and Grenadines, Vincentians are encouraged to come out and support the creative expressions of the region. The festival organizers are also calling on the media to help spread the word, with press coverage welcomed ahead of the main events.
