The 2025 edition of Vincy Mas will be officially launched in spectacular fashion on Saturday, May 10th, at the E.T. Joshua Tarmac, under the leadership of newly installed CEO Mr. Rodney Small.
In an interview with ANN, Mr. Small promised a launch event “with a difference,” describing it as an entire production. The festivities will begin with a truck on the road, starting in Barrouallie and journeying through to Stubbs, aiming to arrive at the Tarmac by 5:30 PM.
The pre-show kicks off at 6:00 PM with a high-energy Jump-Up segment, featuring riddim sections, drums, and more. This will transition patrons into Zone Two, an interactive space filled with corporate booths, promoters, and craft vendors promoting their products and services—designed to create a vibrant, festival-like atmosphere.
The main zone will be the heart of the action, boasting bars, food stalls, and an entertainment-packed show. The DJ segment has a unique theme this year:
Two Kool Chris will highlight past Road March winners
Stifflah and Shady will focus on Ragga Soca winners
DJ Q and Sniper will spin tracks from Soca Monarch champions
Dj Maff would also be on set
There will also be live performances from reigning Calypso Monarch Raeon “Madzart” Primus, performing all his winning tracks for all competitions won over the years. Additional performances will come from the renowned Starlift Steel Orchestra, mas band presentations and artists such as Majikal, Bongo Prime, Hance John, Dymez and Da Pixel, Fire Empress and Johnny Rebel backed by the dynamic Kinetic Band.
To connect with the diaspora, watch parties will be hosted in New York, Miami, and Toronto, allowing Vincentians abroad to share in the launch excitement.
