In a significant gesture of support for the nation’s healthcare system, St. Matthias Charitable Inc. officially handed over medical supplies valued at over US$26,000 to the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment during a brief ceremony at the Stubbs Polyclinic.
The donation was presented by Robert McBarnett, Founder and President of the US-based non-profit organization. Accepting the supplies on behalf of the Ministry was Permanent Secretary Nerissa Gittens, who expressed deep appreciation for the continued partnership and support.
“We need as much assistance as we can possibly get, and for that reason, we say thank you to this organization for always and continually assisting the Ministry of Health with medical supplies,” Gittens stated.
St. Matthias Charitable Inc., founded in 2012, has consistently contributed to improving healthcare in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, as well as extending aid to Grenada, Carriacou, and Petit Martinique. The organization’s ongoing commitment continues to enhance patient care and strengthen medical service delivery in the region.
