St. Vincent Electricity Services Limited (VINLEC) has undertaken corrective measures to resolve recurring power outages affecting several communities linked to one of its distribution feeders.

Residents in McKies Hill (including Spectacle Shoppe), Paul Over, Trigger Ridge, Upper Richmond Hill, Dorsetshire Hill, and Queen’s Drive experienced multiple service disruptions in recent weeks, with three outages occurring between the evening of May 31st and June 1st.

Preliminary investigations suggest that high winds caused electrical lines to clash, leading to faults. In response, VINLEC installed fault indicators to help pinpoint the exact issue, enabling teams to complete repairs earlier today. Power has now been fully restored to all affected areas.

VINLEC has apologized for the inconvenience and reaffirmed its commitment to providing safe and reliable service. Customers are urged to report any further issues or visible faults by calling 1 (784) 456-1540.
