Kingstown, St. Vincent – June 10, 2025
St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) has recorded the highest growth in U.S. visitor arrivals among Caribbean destinations for the first quarter of 2025, marking a 74.8% increase over the same period in 2024. The data, released during the Caribbean Tourism Organization’s (CTO) Caribbean Week in New York, was confirmed by Minister of Tourism, Honourable Carlos James.
SVG topped a list of 11 destinations showing U.S. market growth, ahead of Curaçao (23.5%), Barbados (22%), and Antigua (12.4%). The country also saw 12.8% overall growth in Q1 arrivals from all markets, continuing its momentum from a record-breaking 2024, which ended with 102,766 stay-over visitors, a 27.2% increase over 2023.
Minister James credited the success to enhanced marketing, innovation, and stakeholder collaboration. “Tourism is a key driver of our economy, creating opportunities across multiple sectors,” he noted. SVG reaffirms its commitment to sustainable tourism, competitiveness, and enriching visitor experiences as it leads the region’s recovery and growth.
