St. Vincent and the Grenadines will host its segment of the King’s Baton Relay from June 9 to 15, 2025, as part of the lead-up to the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland.
The SVG Olympic Committee (SVGOC) will spearhead three key activities:
June 11: Relay event in Mustique.
June 13: Baton tour of Windward-side primary and secondary schools.
June 14: River/Beach Plastic Clean-Up in Bridgetown/Biabou, co-hosted with the Caribbean Youth Environment Network (CYEN).
SVG is the final Caribbean stop in the Baton’s global journey, which began on March 10, 2025, and will last 500 days, culminating at the Opening Ceremony in Glasgow on July 23, 2026.
Unlike past relays, each of the 74 participating countries receives its own Baton, allowing for local customization and cultural celebration.
The 2026 Commonwealth Games will run from July 23 to August 2, featuring 10 sports.
