According to sources close to the situation, the father and son—who lived together—became involved in a heated argument that escalated. During the confrontation, the father was reportedly struck with an unknown object. The incident occurred around 11:40 a.m.
The deceased, said to be in his late 50s, died as a result of the injuries sustained. His son, reportedly in his late 20s, has been detained by the Calliaqua Police and is currently assisting with ongoing investigations.
