With Vincy Mas in full swing, St. Vincent Brewery Ltd. (SVBL) is encouraging revelers to raise their glasses — and their water bottles — with the launch of its “Smart Sips” campaign. The initiative places hydration, health, and sustainability at the center of the Carnival experience, reinforcing SVBL’s long-standing commitment to responsible drinking.
Speaking at the launch, Country Manager Shafia London explained the motivation behind the new campaign.
“As a brewery, SVBL has always championed the importance of enjoying our beverages responsibly. But this year, we felt it was time to go a step further — to not just talk about moderation but actively support the wellbeing of those who celebrate with us,” she said. “The Smart Sips campaign is our response: a tangible, forward-thinking initiative designed to keep energy high, and people hydrated.”
Partnering with Dasani Water, Island Chill Soda Water, and the Ministry of Health and the Environment – Nutrition Unit, SVBL will install hydration stations at major events throughout the first week of July — including Carnival Monday and Tuesday. These stations will provide free water and soda water, wellness information, and real-time support from healthcare professionals.
Kimon Baptiste, PR & Media Analyst at SVBL, emphasized the campaign’s direct, on-the-ground approach.
“Smart Sips is about meeting people where they are — on the road, in the fête, in the moment — and giving them the tools to care for themselves, their friends, and their environment,” she said. “As a proud local brewery, we wanted to live the message of responsible drinking in a more meaningful and visible way.”
With Carnival bringing together thousands for celebration, SVBL’s Smart Sips campaign offers a refreshing reminder that partying responsibly doesn’t mean partying less — it means partying smarter.
Whether you’re on the road with a mas band or enjoying the festivities from the sidelines, SVBL invites all patrons to “Drink responsibly — sip smart.”
