Police are investigating two (2) reports of Robbery made by a 21-year-old resident of North Union and a 20-year-old Cashier of Biabou on 17.02.19. According to reports, two unknown persons armed with guns allegedly robbed the 21 year old of a quantity of items valued one thousand and forty-eight ($1,048.00ECC) and the 20 year old of items valued five thousand seven hundred dollars ($5,700.00ECC) respectively at Villa on 16.02.19. Investigations are ongoing in the matter.

Police have arrested and charged Darren Lewis, 29 years old Labourer of New Prospect with Unlawful Sexual Intercourse on 17.02.19. The accused Lewis was charged with multiple counts of Unlawful Sexual Intercourse with a 7-year-old student, alleged to have been committed between 31.08.18 and 01.01.19 at New Prospect. He is expected to appear before the Family Court to answer the charges.

Police have arrested and charged Noel Miller, 40 years old Labourer of Campden Park with Indecent Assault on 15.02.19. Miller was accused of allegedly indecently assaulting a 15-year-old Student by touching her inappropriately about her body and for causing actual bodily harm to her by squeezing her neck with his hand, at Campden Park on 14.02.19. He is expected to appear before the Family Court to answer the charges.

KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Government has allocated $22 million for the ‘Technical Support to Reduce Teenage Pregnancy’ project. This is contained in the 2019/2020 Estimates of Expenditure, now before the House of Representatives.
