The No. 27 Girl Guides Kingstown, the 1st Georgetown Girl Guides Company, No.24 JPEMSS and No. 16 Thomas Saunders Girl Guides concluded their World Thinking Day activities with a community outreach service in the village of Owia last Saturday. The girls’ journey on the “New Adventure Camp” on Friday 24th to Sunday 26th February in Owia. They happily distributed groceries to the elderly around the community. The St. Vincent and the Grenadines’ Chamber of Industry and Commerce (SVGCIC) and the Korea International Trade Association (KITA) signed a Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU) signifying a developing business relationship between Korea and St. Vincent and the Grenadines. The signing took place on Tuesday February 28th, 2023 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Conference Room. KITA is the largest business organisation in Korea. Construction of temporary buildings meant to house the Mary Hutchinson primary school has been hampered by supply chain issues, with a new expected completion date set for March 31st. Last year Minister of Education Curtis King informed the House of Assembly that the buildings would be complete by the end of December 2022. “A number of unexpected supply chain issues hampered the work program which significantly delayed the project.
