Teachers in St Vincent and the Grenadines are gearing up to protest this Christmas week after unvaccinated teachers who were not granted exemptions, were fired for not taking the COVID-19 vaccine. Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 15-year-old boy. The deceased has been identified as Teroy Peters of Arnos Vale. He was a student of Bishop’s College, Kingstown. According to reports, on December 16 around 3 pm, officers attached to the Calliaqua Police Station was informed of a body lying on the public road in Fenton Mountain. On arrival at the scene, Peters was discovered with what appeared to be gunshot wounds about his body. A postmortem examination is expected to be carried out on his body to ascertain the exact cause of death.

A former security guard who blamed his dire economic situation for having turned him into a thief, was sentenced to six months in prison last Friday.
