A French nun who is Europe’s oldest person has survived Covid-19, just days before her 117th birthday. Lucile Randon, who took the name of Sister Andre in 1944, tested positive for coronavirus on 16 January but didn’t develop any symptoms. She told local media she “didn’t even realise I had it”. Tuesday February 9, 2021 the Ministry of Health received confirmation from the Ezra Long Laboratory of 110 new cases of COVID-19. This is from a total of 247 samples processed on Sunday February 7, 2021 for a range of days. All of these individuals were seen within the community at a respiratory clinic where they were assessed and tested for COVID-19. In-keeping with the COVID-19 testing protocol, they were placed in quarantine by health care practitioners while awaiting their COVID-19 test results.
