St. Vincent and the Grenadines today confirmed four (4) new COVID-19 cases. One case is a returning national who arrived with a negative PCR test result from the BVI on December 15, 2020, and tested positive on entry screening. Two UK nationals arrived on December 12 with negative PCR results, tested negative on arrival then positive on day 5 testing. The Antigua News Room online news service reported Antigua and Barbuda’s Prime Minister Gaston Browne as saying on Tuesday that that permission has been granted to LIAT to fly to Barbados. The coronavirus pandemic has snatched away the lives of two doctors who were fighting to keep others healthy during the pandemic. Twin brothers Dr Kevin and Dr Kenneth Guerra, died one day apart from each other. The Ministry of Health and Wellness says the brothers are Belize’s first healthcare workers to have lost their lives to complications due to COVID-19. Dr Kevin Guerra died on December 12. The over five thousand persons who participated in this year’s Christmas Road Cleaning programme are scheduled to be paid early next week. They are expected to receive 2.5 million EC dollars for work done over a 7-day period. The programme saw the employment of 5,405 persons. These included 450 gangs, and 905 Jobbers.
