Police have arrested and charged Jason Williams, a 33 year old labourer of Long Wall, Kingstown with unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition. Investigations carried out revealed that on 17.11.2020 about 8:05pm, the Accused allegedly had in his possession one (1) .38 Smith and Wesson firearm and three (3) rounds of .38 ammunition without a license issued under the Firearms Act. The new case is a returning national who arrived with a negative RT-PCR test result from Canada on Thursday November 12, 2020 on Air Canada AC980, tested negative onentry screening and on day five (5) testing. All travellers to Grenada will be required to complete an online application in order to receive a Pure Safe Travel Authorisation Certificate to enter Grenada. Effective December 1, 2020, all travellers will be required to present the certificate at the airport.
