World Health Organization Director-General declared the current Mpox outbreak a public health emergency of international concern. The declaration was made on August 14th 2024 under the advice of the International Health regulations committee who has been following the data from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). Several port workers are in custody, assisting the police with an investigation into missing goods at the port. ANN was reliably informed that an individual imported a quantity of branded bags; when he went to clear the items, over 50 bags were allegedly missing from his shipment. The source told ANN that the individual didn’t make a formal complaint, but about a week later, he met a gentleman with one of the identical bags.
