Forty-one-year-old mason Micky Pompey was remanded on Monday on a grievous bodily harm charge, following strong objections to bail by Senior Prosecutor Adolphus Delpleche. Pompey is charged with unlawfully and maliciously causing grievous bodily harm to Silma Bacchus of Richland Park. The offence, reportedly committed on Emancipation Day, August 1, is said to have left the woman in a critical condition. Police have arrested and charged Marlon Wilkinson, 46 years Naval Officer of South Rivers with assault and obstruction. According to investigations, the accused allegedly assaulted a Sergeant of Police in the due execution of his duty by pushing him on his chest with his hands.
