Crown Counsel Karim Nelson, on Tuesday, agreed with at least one of the grounds for appeal presented by Kay Bacchus-Baptiste on behalf of her clients Althea, Crystal and Pastor Nigel Morgan. Nelson told the Supreme Court that he agreed with the joint appellants’ Counsel that the custodial sentences imposed by Senior Magistrate Rickie Burnett were excessive. Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a report of attempted murder on a 67-year-old Legal Clerk of Cane Hall on 21.02.2020. According to investigations, on 21.02.2020 an unknown male assailant with the intent to commit the act of murder on the virtual complainant shot her in the face and chest with a gun. The Trump administration has listed five Caribbean countries among 84 worldwide that are eligible for H-2A and H-2B visa programmes that allow US employers to bring foreign nationals to the US to fill temporary agricultural and nonagricultural jobs, Caribbean National Weekly reports.
