The Caribbean Federation of Police Welfare Association (CFPWA) wishes to express its deepest and sincere condolence to the family, relatives, well-wishers and friends of the late Jerry George. Jerry over the past few months had become a member of the CFPWA family as he embarked on a mission to assist the Federation with their quest to foster a better working relationship between the Commissioners of Police and the Welfare Associations throughout the region. He was invited and graciously agreed to be the host of the CFPWA’s Facebook Live discussions on Sunday’s. He even went further to provide topics for future discussions over the next five Sundays and was very much looking forward to this Sunday’s discussion on the topic \u201cHow much psychological thought is given by COPs as they send officers into harm’s way? What systems and structures are there to support officers?\u201d Jerry was an icon and a catalyst for Caribbean integration. He was selfless with pertinent information that was beneficial to persons from all walks of society.<\/p>\n
To his beloved wife Valerie Tucker George, daughter Shara Balcombe and his son Daryl George: the CFPWA family is deeply saddened by this untimely event and we regret the pain, sorrow and the difficult time you must be experiencing after the death of such a warm soul. Please be assured that we continue to keep you in our thoughts and prayers, and we hope that the good memories of your dear beloved would offer some measure of comfort during this extremely difficult period. Jerry George was an incredible man, a special man, a regional media icon and truly will be dearly missed.<\/p>\n
