Rawl\u00adins served as the Cepep South\u00adern Re\u00adgion\u00adal Co\u00ador\u00addi\u00adna\u00adtor and was sus\u00adpend\u00aded with im\u00adme\u00addi\u00adate ef\u00adfect ear\u00adli\u00ader to\u00adday af\u00adter a video was shared on so\u00adcial me\u00addia of Rawl\u00adins dri\u00adving a Cepep pick-up and curs\u00ading an\u00adoth\u00ader dri\u00adver.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In an in\u00adter\u00adview yes\u00adter\u00adday Rur\u00adal De\u00advel\u00adop\u00adment and Lo\u00adcal Gov\u00adern\u00adment Min\u00adis\u00adter Kaz\u00adim Ho\u00adsein con\u00adfirmed that Rawl\u00adins had been sus\u00adpend\u00aded and his Cepep-as\u00adsigned ve\u00adhi\u00adcle was tak\u00aden away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“I was in Sen\u00adate (yes\u00adter\u00adday) when I was alert\u00aded to the video, it was sent to me by sev\u00ader\u00adal peo\u00adple,” Ho\u00adsein said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“I con\u00adtact\u00aded the chair\u00adman of Cepep (Ash\u00adton Ford) and asked him to look in\u00adto it,” Ho\u00adsein said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ho\u00adsein said Ford, a for\u00admer gen\u00ader\u00adal sec\u00adre\u00adtary of Peo\u00adple’s Na\u00adtion\u00adal Move\u00adment gen\u00ader\u00adal sec\u00adre\u00adtary, met with Rawl\u00adins at 8 am to\u00adday and just af\u00adter lunch, he was in\u00adformed of the sus\u00adpen\u00adsion and a pend\u00ading in\u00adves\u00adti\u00adga\u00adtion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the 42-sec\u00adond video, a pas\u00adsen\u00adger in an\u00adoth\u00ader ve\u00adhi\u00adcle can be heard ad\u00admon\u00adish\u00ading Rawl\u00adins for dri\u00adving while on his cell\u00adphone, telling him he would “kill some\u00adbody”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rawl\u00adins re\u00adspond\u00aded with ex\u00adple\u00adtives, ask\u00ading the pas\u00adsen\u00adger if he was the po\u00adlice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The pas\u00adsen\u00adger then prods Rawl\u00adins to use his phone again, to which Rawl\u00adins re\u00adsponds “it’s my phone”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The record\u00ading pas\u00adsen\u00adger then yells at Rawl\u00adins that it is against the law to dri\u00adve while on the phone and calls him a fool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He al\u00adso tells him he was “dri\u00adving the peo\u00adple” ve\u00adhi\u00adcle, re\u00adfer\u00adring to the Cepep pick-up, to which Rawl\u00adins replies that he drove a Mer\u00adcedes Benz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“I is Cro Cro, with your lil small car,” Rawl\u00adins says as he drove away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Just last year at the Ca\u00adlyp\u00adso tents, the vo\u00adcal Peo\u00adple’s Na\u00adtion\u00adal Move\u00adment (PNM) sup\u00adport\u00ader bashed the par\u00adty. In that ca\u00adlyp\u00adso, Rawl\u00adins crit\u00adi\u00adcised Prime Min\u00adis\u00adter Dr Kei\u00adth Row\u00adley and mem\u00adbers of his gov\u00adern\u00adment. He ac\u00adcused them of not an\u00adswer\u00ading his calls and cast\u00ading him aside af\u00adter he helped them to win the elec\u00adtion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When he was slammed by PNM sup\u00adport\u00aders for turn\u00ading against the par\u00adty, Cro Cro was un\u00adapolo\u00adgetic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In me\u00addia re\u00adports then he said that when the Unit\u00aded Na\u00adtion\u00adal Con\u00adgress (UNC) was in pow\u00ader, the po\u00adlit\u00adi\u00adcal leader “fixed up she peo\u00adple” but crit\u00adi\u00adcised the PNM for leav\u00ading the “black man” to suf\u00adfer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Guardian Me\u00addia learned that Rawl\u00adins got the job of re\u00adgion\u00adal co\u00ador\u00addi\u00adna\u00adtor af\u00adter Car\u00adni\u00adval last year. The post comes with a $10,000 per month salary and the use of a com\u00adpa\u00adny ve\u00adhi\u00adcle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Guardian Me\u00addia reached out to Ford but was told he was un\u00adavail\u00adable at the time. Guardian Me\u00addia al\u00adso at\u00adtempt\u00aded to reach Rawl\u00adins but was un\u00adsuc\u00adcess\u00adful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A state\u00adment from Cepep said the views, in\u00adfor\u00adma\u00adtion or opin\u00adions ex\u00adpressed in the re\u00adcent video of an em\u00adploy\u00adee us\u00ading of\u00adfen\u00adsive lan\u00adguage be\u00adlong sole\u00adly to the in\u00addi\u00advid\u00adual and does not in any way what\u00adso\u00adev\u00ader rep\u00adre\u00adsent those of the com\u00adpa\u00adny.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“The po\u00adsi\u00adtion of The Cepep Com\u00adpa\u00adny Lim\u00adit\u00aded is straight-for\u00adward and un\u00adcom\u00adpro\u00admis\u00ading \u2013 we do not and will not tol\u00ader\u00adate any kind of bel\u00adliger\u00adent lan\u00adguage or be\u00adhav\u00adiour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
