The Inland Revenue Department has been challenged to pay greater
attention to its Revenue Collection measures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The challenge was issued by Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves
while contributing to the debate on the Income Tax Amendment Bill
in Parliament last week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Prime Minister Gonsalves, the Government has taken a number of
initiatives to reduce taxes and put certain measures in place to make
the tax system more efficient.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, he expressed disappointment with the collection of taxes
