Four athletes will have the distinction of representing St Vincent and the Grenadines at the Summer Olympics set to officially open on 26 July in Paris, France.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The athletes are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Athletics<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Shafiqua Maloney & Handal Roban
Shafiqua made the qualifying standard for both the 400m and 800m women. She has chosen to contest only the 800m while Handal will contest the men’s 800m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In both cases, Team Athletics St Vincent and the Grenadines recommended the inclusion of the coach of each of the aforementioned athletes to accompany them at the Games. They have been working with them over the past several years and have been responsible for their preparation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Swimming<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Alexander Joachim & Kennice Greene
Alexander will contest in the men\u2019s 50m Freestyle while Kennice will contest in the women\u2019s 50m Freestyle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Both athletes will be accompanied by their coaches who are responsible for their preparation.
