This announcement was made by Minister of Tourism, Honourable Carlos James, during a parliamentary debate on Monday while discussing the Citizenship Bill for the legendary cricketers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Minister James used the opportunity to update the nation on the upcoming <strong>Emancipation Cricket Festival<\/strong>, which will celebrate the achievements of Caribbean cricket legends. He stated that members of the 1975 team will begin arriving in St. Vincent and the Grenadines on <strong>Wednesday<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As part of the festivities, the cricketing greats will attend a <strong>private luncheon<\/strong> with Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves. Following that, they will visit the Arnos Vale Stadium to engage with young cricketers, including winners of both the <strong>Primary and Secondary School Cricket Tournaments<\/strong>, as well as representatives from local cricket clubs such as the <strong>Jules Anthony Cricket Club<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A <strong>panel discussion on cricket<\/strong> is also scheduled to take place, featuring insights from the visiting Legends, Prime Minister Dr. Gonsalves, and regional and international cricket commentator <strong>Andrew Mason<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The festival will culminate in a <strong>grand final night<\/strong>, during which the West Indies legends will be officially honoured alongside two of St. Vincent and the Grenadines\u2019 own cricket icons \u2014 <strong>Michael Findlay<\/strong> and <strong>Winston Davis<\/strong>.
