Police are investigating the discovery of two bodies found inside a silver car in the Fenton Mountains on Monday afternoon, a grim development on the 46th anniversary of St. Vincent and the Grenadines\u2019 independence.
According to sources close to the investigation, the deceased appear to be in their early 20s \u2014 an adult male and an adult female. Both reportedly had gunshot wounds, although police noted that no spent shells were found at the scene.
The source indicated there are signs of a struggle, as both bodies appeared black and blue. It is possible, they said, that other individuals were involved in the incident.
The female victim is reported to be a conductor in the Belair area. Authorities have not yet released the identities of the male victim.
Earlier on Monday, police also launched a homicide investigation into the death of 42-year-old Uriah Fields, a security guard and fisherman from Diamond, marking a troubling string of deaths within a 24-hour period.
