As predicted, the people have spoken, and spoken emphatically !\u00a0 And Yes, life has to go on \u2026 in a turbulent world characterized by wars and rumours of wars, right on our doorsteps.\u00a0\u00a0 That is why this new government must use the every opportunity, regional and international to lobby for global disarmament, as our tiny nation and region by extension are all vulnerable to the fall out from wars.\u00a0 The world powers first have to DISARM if we are to achieve world peace !!!
I read online recently that the world\u2019s largest aircraft carrier costs approximately 13 Billion pounds Sterling, roughly 17.5 Billion US$ for just one battle ship.\u00a0 Add to that the cost for several advanced fighter jets you are looking at double that figure, add to that the cost for guided missiles, air defence systems and atomic bombs and you can triple the first figure and before I cut the long list short, the cost of submarines, arms and ammunition will reflect a global GDP where over 85% is spent on instruments of war and destruction\u2026.the world is actually spending more to destroy humanity and the environment in the process \u2026.and we call ourselves an educated\u00a0 and enlightened species\u2026. but reality tells and paints a different story.
Therefore, as small and vulnerable as we are, we must raise our voices to echo the vision of Micah and other prophets which I now repeat for those who never read the book of Micah;\u00a0 \u201cHe will judge between many peoples and will settle disputes for strong nations far and wide.\u00a0 They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks.\u00a0 Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0 This is the philosophy of peace, that we all NEED to pursue.\u00a0 DISARM NOW !!!
Our incoming PM and new cabinet ministers must be congratulated on their overwhelming victory at the polls, even though they expected victory, the seismic shift of almost 10 thousand people in the popular vote stunned EVERYONE, including the outgoing PM who never prepared for defeat.\u00a0 However, the shift was more spiritual than physical\/numerical, as many persons suffered immense physical and psychological trauma following the vaccine mandate.\u00a0\u00a0 Many well known persons in SVG have died after taking that deadly jab, some within days, others within weeks but most in less than one month, leaving all to conclude that the deadly jab was the precursor to their demise.
I look forward to the removal of that iniquitous law from our statute books as a victory of \u201cGood over evil\u201d, by the second sitting of Parliament the latest.\u00a0 It will be prudent to invite all those affected by that law to be present\u00a0 during that sitting of Parliament\u00a0 for a formal apology by the incumbent administration and to witness first hand the abolition of the most repulsive and wicked law which is a direct violation of our constitutional and human rights.\u00a0\u00a0 All those persons who were responsible for passing that law must also be liable for future vaccine injuries and death.\u00a0\u00a0 Medium and long term effects from the experimental vaccine will continue to surface long after 2021.
I am equally happy that Terrance Ollivierre has been mandated to make local government a REALITY, no \u2018if\u2019 or \u2018but\u2019.\u00a0\u00a0 Municipal government (local govt) is absolutely essential for the day-to-day running of public affairs at community level, freeing up Central government officials to concentrate on nation building at the highest level.\u00a0 Running government is not and can never be a \u2018one-man-show\u2019.\u00a0 The combined effort of our skilled population will create the base for an effective local government structure that will be of strategic importance and assistance in times of national emergencies\u00a0\u00a0 \u2026 do I hear \u2018all hands on deck\u2019 ?
Stepping into international waters requires careful forethought.\u00a0 Please consult the people whom you represent before taking major decisions that can influence our future; our old folks warns us that \u201ctwo head betta dan one\u201d, and the Good Book amplifies it by stating that in the \u201cmultitude of counselors, there is safety\u201d.\u00a0\u00a0
The issue of reparations must be continued and intensified and here is where Gonsalves can still have a role to play\u00a0 and can join the regional and global reparations movement.\u00a0 After all, his government took the national debt to over 2 billion $, so by teaming up with Hilary Beckles and others, the reparations movement can gain momentum and achieve our goals with seismic proportions like the recent elections here \u2026\u00a0 the sooner, the better !\u00a0\u00a0
Let good sense prevail.
