Kingstown St. Vincent May 14, 2026 – The Ministry of Tourism, Civil Aviation and Sustainable Development in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines has launched a new national tourism initiative aimed at strengthening communities, improving visitor experiences and expanding participation in the tourism sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The programme, titled \u201cLOVE SVG\u201d, was launched by Tourism Minister Kishore Shallow and is expected to run during the tourism off-season between May and October 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Officials say the initiative will focus on preparing the country for the upcoming tourist season through 100 priority projects across a range of sectors, including natural attractions, heritage and cultural sites, transport infrastructure, hospitality services and community tourism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the ministry, the programme is intended not only to improve infrastructure but also to strengthen the connection between tourism and everyday life in St Vincent and the Grenadines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The initiative places particular emphasis on community involvement and national participation, with authorities saying tourism development should reflect the country\u2019s culture, identity and aspirations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cLOVE SVG is about putting people at the heart of tourism development,\u201d Minister Shallow said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt is about ensuring that the growth of the sector is felt in our communities, supports our culture, and uplifts the everyday Vincentian.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
