The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Basketball Federation (SVGBF) is inviting eligible male basketball players across the country to attend national team tryouts as preparations begin for upcoming regional competitions.<\/p>\n
The tryout session is scheduled for Saturday, May 23, 2026<\/strong>, at the Calliaqua Hard Court<\/strong>, beginning at 3:00 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n According to the federation, the tryouts form part of preparations for the Caribbean Basketball Confederation (CBC) FIBA AmeriCup 2029 Caribbean Pre-Qualifier Tournament<\/strong>, which is expected to take place in Guyana in July 2026.<\/p>\n Team SVG is also preparing for the possibility of participating in another regional 3×3 basketball competition.<\/p>\n The SVGBF said several players for the CBC tournament have already been identified from the Vincentian diaspora, including overseas-based professional players.
