The Government and People of St. Vincent and the Grenadines have officially received the newly constructed Edinboro Hardcourt, marking another milestone in the growing partnership between St. Vincent and the Grenadines and the Republic of India.<\/p>\n
The facility was formally handed over on Monday, June 1, during a ceremony in Edinboro attended by government officials, diplomats, community representatives and stakeholders involved in the project.<\/p>\n
High Commissioner of India to St. Vincent and the Grenadines, His Excellency Subhash Prasad Gupta<\/strong>, officially presented the hardcourt on behalf of the Government of India.<\/p>\n The Edinboro Hardcourt is one of five community-based initiatives being implemented under the Quick Impact Project Agreement<\/strong> between India and St. Vincent and the Grenadines, a programme designed to support community development and improve public infrastructure.<\/p>\n Among those attending the ceremony were Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade, Foreign Investment and Diaspora Affairs, Hon. Dwight Fitzgerald Bramble<\/strong>; Parliamentary Representative for West Kingstown, Hon. Daniel Cummings<\/strong>; Minister of Youth, Sports, Culture and Creative Industries, Hon. Kaschaka Cupid<\/strong>; Sports Coordinator Roxell John<\/strong>; senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; and representatives of the Buildings, Roads and General Services Authority (BRAGSA).<\/p>\n Addressing the gathering, Minister Cupid thanked the Government of India for its continued support and partnership in advancing community development projects across the country.<\/p>\n He also outlined plans to further improve the facility through the installation of solar-powered lighting, while assuring residents that efforts would be made to ensure the hardcourt is properly maintained for future generations.<\/p>\n Parliamentary Representative Daniel Cummings described the project as a valuable investment in the youth of the community, noting that the facility will provide a safe and accessible space for sports, recreation and community engagement.<\/p>\n He also commended BRAGSA for its role in overseeing the project and encouraged residents to take ownership of the facility by helping to maintain both the hardcourt and its surrounding environment.<\/p>\n The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed appreciation to the Government of India for its support through the Quick Impact Projects initiative and acknowledged the contributions of all stakeholders who helped bring the project to completion.<\/p>\n Officials said the handover reflects the strong and longstanding bilateral relationship between St. Vincent and the Grenadines and India, while highlighting the role of international partnerships in supporting community development and youth empowerment.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" The Government and People of St. Vincent and the Grenadines have officially received the newly constructed Edinboro Hardcourt, marking another milestone in the growing partnership between St. Vincent and the Grenadines and the Republic of India.
