The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Customs and Excise Department has announced a temporary closure as it prepares to transition to the upgraded ASYCUDA World 4.4 system.<\/p>\n
According to a public notice issued by the Department, the closure forms part of the final preparations for the implementation of the new digital customs platform, which is expected to enhance the efficiency of customs operations and service delivery.<\/p>\n
Officials advised stakeholders and members of the public that the deadline for the submission of new company registrations, authorizations and concession applications will be 12:00 noon on Friday, June 5, 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The Department also announced that the ASYCUDA system will be temporarily unavailable during the migration and upgrade process over the weekend.<\/p>\n As part of the transition, the Customs and Excise Department will be closed to the public on Saturday, June 6, 2026<\/strong>, to facilitate activities associated with the migration to the upgraded platform.<\/p>\n The Department said the new ASYCUDA World 4.4<\/strong> system is scheduled to officially go live on Monday, June 8, 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Stakeholders are being encouraged to complete all necessary preparations and submissions ahead of the migration period to avoid disruptions to their customs transactions.<\/p>\n The upgrade is being implemented as part of the Customs and Excise Department\u2019s broader modernization programme and is supported through the Caribbean Digital Transformation Project.<\/p>\n Officials say the enhanced platform will contribute to a faster, smarter and more efficient customs service by improving digital processes and strengthening service delivery for importers, exporters, brokers and other stakeholders.<\/p>\n The Department apologized for any inconvenience that may result from the temporary closure and system downtime, while thanking the public and business community for their cooperation during the transition.<\/p>\n Customs officials said the move represents another important step in modernizing customs operations and supporting the development of a digital economy in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Customs and Excise Department has announced a temporary closure as it prepares to transition to the upgraded ASYCUDA World 4.4 system.
