The Police Cooperative Credit Union – Police Christmas Caroling Competition will take place on Friday, December 14, 2018, on the grounds of the Central Police Station commencing at 7:30 pm, under the theme \u201ctis the season of myrrh and merriment\u201d.<\/p>\n

Since 2003, the Police Christmas Caroling Contest has been playing an invaluable and instrumental role in fostering a more harmonious relationship between members of the Constabulary and the general public. <\/p>\n

The aims of the contest are as follows:<\/p>\n

1.\tTo nurture the creative abilities of members of the Force
\n2.\tFoster and enhance team spirit among members
\n3.\tStrengthen relations with the public and;
\n4.\tAssist in building a celebratory atmosphere during the festive season.<\/p>\n

Over fifteen (15) choirs are expected to participate in this year\u2019s competition, with the hope of dethroning the reigning champions, the Western Carolers. <\/p>\n

The Police Cooperative Credit Union (PCCU) has once again partnered with the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force in sponsoring the Caroling Competition. This is the sixth (6th) consecution year since the PCCU has been the major sponsor of this competition.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, October 31, 2018, Bro. Michael Charles, Treasurer to the Board of Directors of the PCCU handed over a sponsorship cheque in the sum of $7,800 to Commissioner of Police, Mr. Colin John to offset expenses for this year\u2019s contest. Bro. Charles stated that the PCCU board is committed to the sponsoring the Police caroling competition because it is one of the most tangible ways in which the Credit Union can give back to the Police Force, which is responsible for the birth of the Credit Union. Moreover, Bro. Charles stated that in sponsoring the competition, the PCCU is fulfilling its corporate social responsibility to its members and the public as a whole.<\/p>\n

In expressing his gratitude for the sponsorship, Commissioner John thanked the board and management of the PCCU for partnering with the Police Force and for making it possible for the organization to have the caroling competition for another year. According to the Commissioner, the police caroling competition is now a household name throughout St. Vincent and the Grenadines and is highly anticipated by members of the public.<\/p>\n

The Commissioner stated that the Police Force values the commitment of the PCCU in sponsoring the competition over the years and gave the assurance that the monies will be well spent. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
