{"id":8838,"date":"2020-01-22T18:45:29","date_gmt":"2020-01-22T18:45:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/annsvg.com\/?p=8838"},"modified":"2020-01-22T18:45:31","modified_gmt":"2020-01-22T18:45:31","slug":"ministry-of-education-launches-2020-athletics-season","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/annsvg.com\/index.php\/2020\/01\/22\/ministry-of-education-launches-2020-athletics-season\/","title":{"rendered":"Ministry of Education Launches 2020 Athletics season"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Ministry of Education, and Ministry of Sports is continuing their collaborative<br>\neffort to execute sporting activities within the schools in SVG<br>\nThe 2020 Athletic season was launched on Monday January 20 th with a press<br>\nconference at Victoria Park in which the media was brought up to date on the<br>\nsporting disciplines to be executed this School term as well as the commencement<br>\ndate for each discipline.<br>\nThe season is expected to serve off with Volley ball on Friday, January 24th, 2020<br>\n2:30 pm at the Girls High School (GHS) hard court.<br>\nThe 2020 Cricket championships will see split openings with the U-15 set to begin<br>\non Monday, January 27th and the U-19 on Monday, February 3rd.<br>\nBoth Male and Female Basketball championships will commence on Friday,<br>\nFebruary 7th.<br>\nThe major athletics meet is set to climax the season at the Arnos Vale Playing<br>\nField. The Primary School meet will take place on April 16 th and the secondary<br>\nschools on April 17 th , 2020.
