The villager then alerted Superintendent Kenneth John, who lives in the area. <\/p>\n<p>Veral\u2019s body was found at the back of his home in Stubbs around 7am. Reports from the police indicate that the body had signs of violence. His body was badly burnt from his legs up to mid-section and one concrete block was placed on his head with another on his arm. <\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_967\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-967\" style=\"width: 169px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/annsvg.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/IMG-20181118-WA0049-169x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"169\" height=\"300\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-967\" srcset=\"https:\/\/annsvg.com\/the-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/IMG-20181118-WA0049-169x300.jpg 169w, https:\/\/annsvg.com\/the-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/IMG-20181118-WA0049-576x1024.jpg 576w, https:\/\/annsvg.com\/the-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/IMG-20181118-WA0049.jpg 720w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 169px) 100vw, 169px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-967\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Area where James burnt body was discovered<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>James lived alone and was last seen on Saturday. <\/p>\n<p>In an interview Sunday morning, Veral\u2019s brother &#8216;Charkes James&#8217; he expressed great sadness in learning of the manner in which his brother met his death. <\/p>\n<p>His brother indicated that he last saw Veral on Saturday, where he greeted him and said that he was \u201cgoing up the road\u201d. <\/p>\n<p>He also expressed that Veral was not known to be a troublemaker, however, loved to drink rum and \u201cwould get on with his stupidness\u201d. [sic] <\/p>\n<p>He also called for justice to be served and that the death penalty should be handed down to the perpetrators of the crime. <\/p>\n<p>At the time of the interview, Veral\u2019s mother who is still alive and resides in Trinidad was yet to find out about her son\u2019s death. <\/p>\n<p>A post-mortem examination will be conducted on the body to ascertain the cause of death.<br \/>\nPolice are soliciting the assistance of members of the public who may have any information that can assist with this investigation.<br \/>\nPersons are being asked to contact the ACP in-charge Crimes at telephone 784-456-1339, Officer in-charge South Central Division at 784-458-4200 or Officer in-charge CID at 784-456-1810.
