British Airways will now fly to Antigua and Barbuda, from Heathrow/Gatwick International Airports, twice per week due to the coronavirus lockdown imposed in the United Kingdom.

The Antiguan government disclosed that the flight will not proceed to any other island.

The cabinet notes said this decision is a clear indication that Antigua is “a highly-favoured destination.”

The notes added that Minister of Tourism Charles Fernandez indicated to Cabinet that Antigua and Barbuda’s tourism is continuing to recover and the number of arrivals will eventually return to 2019 levels in the near future.
