As part of our Volcano eruption and COVID relief efforts, the St Vincent and the Grenadines Football Federation started distributing footballing equipment to our affiliates from Monday September 20, 2021.
This initiative, which is fully supported by FIFA, includes equipment donated in solidarity with St. Vincent and the Grenadines in general and the stakeholders of Football specifically.
The contribution of equipment which exceeds XCD$270,000.00 forms part of FIFAs’ overall response mechanism and support for our Member Association (MA) toward the resumption of football in the post eruption phase of our history.
We recognize that the disruptive nature of the eruptions of La Soufriere volcano would have presented multiple challenges for our affiliates seeking to resume normalcy to footballing activities, especially those residents in the Red and Orange zones.
The contributions will also be made available to facilitate footballing activities in designated Green zone arears that house evacuees relocated from the danger zones.
Items includes: Ball bags, Balls, Bibs, Cones, Polo t-shirts, Surgical face masks and Drinking water.
As we continue to prepare for the eventual resumption of football, we anticipate that the contributions would assist you with propelling your individual entities towards a successful restart of our beloved sport.
