Action in the 2021 French Verandah/National Lotteries Authority St. Vincent and the Grenadines Community College Invitational Six-a-Side Football Championship was expected to continue today, Friday 29th October, at the Community College’s Playing Field, Villa.

Today play in the Championship picks up after two matches played last Sunday.

In the first, All Saints Medical School (2) remained unbeaten when they inflicted a 6-3 defeat on Central Leeward Secondary School.

The game seemed to be all over at half time when All Saints Medical School (2) led 3-1. But the Central Leeward Secondary School came roaring back in the second half to draw level at 3-3.

This awoke the Medical brigade who turned in two more goals to settle the game once and for all.

Olise Uwadone was All Saints top performer with a hat- trick of goals.

In the other match, System 3 Youth had a 7-4 win over the SCGCC/Division of Technical and Vocational Education Year Two

Zamaro Mofford and Chad Haynes both had hat-tricks for System 3 Youth.

At the end of Sunday’s matches, All Saints Medical School were leading Group 2 of the Championship. They are on 9 points from 3 matches, followed by Jebelle Youth on 6 points from three matches, and Volcanoes (1) on 3 points from two matches.

The three teams in Group 2 – Teachers Combined, System 3 Youth and Volcanoes (2) – are on 6 points each from 3 matches.
